It has been a while since updating the build page...

Here is basically how she sits now.

Since the last time:
- I have added the front camera at the bottom of the lower grill. I also have another front camera that I want to install lower below the plate, or on the top edge of the skid plate. On the main trail that we go on, there are a couple downhill (fairly) blind turns, and it would be nice just to see road.

- ARB skid plates went in. I know that there are "tougher" options out there, but the price (shipped) was better, and here on Oahu, I don't do any trails that would really utilize the super beefy skids.

Probably the best thing so far is the custom cooler slide that I just made. I have a Yeti 35 and a Engel 65. The Engel will probably be our camping cooler, but is a beast when loaded.
- Accuride 30" lock-in/lock-out 500lb slides
- 2" angle iron.
- Had a friend weld up the metal tray that the cooler sits on as well.
- Base is 3/4" birch plywood coated with Duplicolor Bed Armour and is bolted to the truck
- Lined the trunk in sound dampening material just cause..
- Side rails are removable via bots and t-nuts that are attached to the ply. Also cut holes in the rubber tray so sand is easily cleaned.

We just visited Kona, Hi recently. The amount of modded Toyotas running around over there was sick! I was starting to annoy my friends by commenting on every lifted Tacoma and 4runner we saw.

I ended up bolting the birch to the floor, but unfortunately, I didn't have the OEM attachment points that come with the sliding deck (like yours).. No worries though, drilled, sealed and attached the base with no problems. Would have been easier though if I had threaded points.

I may do a full set of drawers (similar to yours) in the future, but we will see how this setup goes for a while..

What wiring adapters and switches did you use to make this possible? Where did you mount everything too? Thanks!

Also bought the 4 camera adapter. I currently have 3 cameras attached. Rear, and 2 Front. One front is at the bottom of the lower grill, and the other one is at the bottom of the front bumper garnish. I"ll get a pic when I get home.

Nice job on the install. What kind and how many switches are you running on this setup? Trying to plan out how to run 2+ cameras without having to add a ton of switches.

Technically your cameras don't need power switches. You could have them "hot" with the ignition. I have both of the front cameras on one power switch and the camera trigger. Technically you really only need one switch to get the cameras to trigger when not in reverse.

I'm using the AOB switches.

[MENTION=149664]304tmt[/MENTION]. This is the override dongle with the video selector. The difference between this and the regular one is that the "video" wire is split, and has a made and female RCA.

There is extension which connects to your video selector, and then you hook up your cameras to the selector. If you had the non-video dongle, I guess you could cut and put in your own RCA male and female if you could find out which wire it is...

So I checked out the page listed and I do not see how to integrate a front camera to the system. Can you post a link to the 4 camera adapter you mention? Also maybe a quick schematic on how you wired everything up. ThaNKS

It's kind of rough because I was trying to draw on my phone but you may get the idea. The dongle has a male and female connection. If you do not want to utilize the switch than those to plug in to eachother and send the signal from the rear camera to the display.
If you utilize the switch the output from the switch goes to the display and the input from the rear camera goes to the switch. Because the selector has 4 inputs you can add 3 more cameras and the rear camera.

Not sure what the guy is offering now but you may want to email him and see if the 4 channel selector is still available. The current site shows a toggle switch for two inputs rear camera and one front camera. With that, you toggle between the 2 cameras. The 4 channel switch has different split screen options that are cool, but the 2 camera switch would be fine. After having both front cameras, the lower one (mounted at the lower part of the bumper valence) is a lot more useful to me than the one at the bottom of the lower grill. I would be fine with just the 2-channel toggle...

Hard to tell from my phone but did you plati dip the front fenders in that first pic? Loving the build! The fuse bracket is great, your friend does good work.
