RCA Cables do not fit aftermarket stereo

So I can't be the first person with this issue... I have an aftermarket double din stereo (Pioneer FH-X730BT) and I am trying to wire in my 4 channel amp to drive new front components.

The issue is that I cannot reinstall the head unit with the RCA cables plugged in... It seems to hit the white HVAC system directly behind the stereo.

What are my options? This deck isn't unusually deep I don't think, and doesn't even have a CD player.

I tried looking for 90 deg cables but I have a hard time imagining they would even fit. When the head unit is screwed in place you can reach under and behind and hardly get one finger in between the RCA and the plastic of the HVAC system.

Is trying to find a spacer to push out the head unit and have it be ugly and sticking out of the facia my only option here? What are your experiences running external amps & RCA cables?

I believe you can buy RCA extensions that have a smaller head than a standard plug. Or, try bending back the outer casings of RCA plugs.

Can you move the radio out farther where the side mounts are? I had that same problem and just used holes a little farther back. It made the radio set a little farther out to clear the rca's

I would try some 90 degree rca adapters first before doing anything to make the head unit stick out

Yeah, I considered this but I really don't want the radio to be sticking out, as it sits now it is right flush with the trim and it looks great.

How about this? Still pretty tall but it might give you some extra space.

Maybe not the ideal way but, would soldering your own RCA's be a solution?
I think it's a better alternative to having the stereo mounted further out to make room in the back for bulky premade RCA cables.

Boom, I knew I had some of these for another install I did on a Nissan Titan. Same issue with the RCA hitting the back of the AC housing. Obviously not going to hack up a customers truck.
