Ordered my alum 3rd gen plates on 3/7 and got them today, but never received shipping notification. Was a nice surprise as I almost called earlier for a status update, but got busy. The folks at RCI are probably so busy cranking these out that they forgot.

I was in the same position. First GB so I tried to get in contact to get a better understanding on shipping estimates and took a good part of a week to hear from them back.. I ordered early 3/7 and got a shipping notification this morning estimating a delivery date of 3/27. This is for 4th gen sliders.. Not sure what you ordered but could also play a role. I'm sure you will be hearing from them soon!

True, but RCI is from Fort Collins, CO. Half of my family lives there. So, I try to support the local businesses as much as possible. That, and I really like their aluminum skid plates after seeing a few in person.

Can anyone who got the transmission skid with the optional support braces tell me where they mount? There was no mention of them in my instructions and I can't figure out where they were supposed to go. 2015 sr5.

Well I installed my trans skid with my stock front skid. Only thing I'm not sure of
though. I installed the trans skid beneath my stock front skid. Looks better that way,but the trans skid bolt heads are exposed now. So maybe it gets sandwiched between the stock skid and the crossmember? Then the bolt heads won't be exposed.

Picked these up last week, painted and installed. My only issue is the bolts are "soft" and if the holes are messed up or not pre tapped then the heads will torqe right off.

I would reverse the configuration, trans plate under the front plate. Think if you slide on a rock, it would be easier to go from plate to plate given forward momentum. Unlike your current setup, you might get caught on the lip.

The support brackets mount parallel with the sides of the skid. Running front to back (not side to side). There are three holes in the support bracket that match up with the hole on the skid. You can see in the picture above, the two rows of three bolts that run in the center of the tranny skid. The brackets are there to added strength to the skid because of the space between the skid and transmission.

I emailed him last week and got a response saying that they are actively working on all orders and lots of orders are simply waiting on powder coating.

I have not, but I did expect 3-4 weeks VS. 2-3 for the powder coated 4th gen sliders. I placed my order 3-6 so I'm somewhere in the 4th week. I haven't emailed or called RCI, but the timeline is still within what I was expecting.

I did place an order but haven't gotten any updates yet. I haven't tried email him yet though. I placed my order for a tcase and tranny skid in bare aluminum on Mar 8 so i'm probably towards the end of the line. I figure they probably busy filling orders still. I was in the last group buy and it went pretty smoothly.
