Mine arrived last night and are the same part number you mentioned.

(I paid $20 too much via Down South company) !

Going for the one notch worth of lift - I'll move the stop ring one notch from the end it is on now. I'm assuming it is set for stock rather than full lift as received from the factory.

Off to Toyota for new stem rubber this morning.

Yea mine came with the ring on the lowest (OEM) setting.

got them installed today, the one notch of elevation on the shock does not look like much but it is actually quite a lot

but the truck is nice and level now

Unfortunately: ABS light, VSC light, and the icon of the car with skid marks behind it are now on. Looks like either the mechanic goofed up the wheels' wires/connectors/sensors or the little extra height stretched / broke the wires. Too cold wet and windy tonight to check it.

Seems lots of folks on this forum report these lights come on after suspension or cv boot work.

The installer stretched the ABS wire. As you mentioned, this is common. This post details how to diagnose which side it is and how to fix yourself if you choose to do so. I'd talk to the shop and see if you can get them to replace the ABS wire for you (~$50-$60 IIRC).

Well I repaired both wires today. Major pain in the neck. Good continuity, no shorts...

BUT abs and trac lights still on

maybe it needs the zero point calibration as well ?

Yea, I had to do the zero point after repairing the wires.

I've got a 2005
but manuals for 2003 and 2006
both manuals agree to repeatedly short terminals Ts and CG
however one manual says pin Ts is #14 and the other manual says it is #12 (both talk about the connector being "DLC3")

flip a coin ? no, I'll try the 2006 version... first anyway


funny thing: the manual says to do the zero process after "Front Wheel Alignment Adjustment" since I had aligment done after the shock replacement I suppose it needs doing.

Hmm, tough to say. I believe they added vvti to the 05s, not sure if that would change pin locations though. The other changes happened in 06, so I can't say for sure.

Some good news to report.

Drove it for about a mile after the wire repair and all the lights are now off !

No battery disconnect and no zero calib required.

Mission accomplished. Probably should spend some time being sure the wires are routed and secured the best way to prevent chafing or turn left/right stretch.
