Rear 12 volt outlet

Hey guys, can I run a 12 volt (boat/snow sled) winch off the rear 12 volt outlet - or do I need to run directly off the battery?

Depends on the amperage that winch is going to be drawing. I assume it will be more than about 15 amps, in which case I would run the cabling from the battery.
