I bought new brake lines for the front and rear of my runner but for the life of me, I can't figure out how to get out the ones in the back? Is there something I'm missing? In the rear, the bracket that the line passes through and is held in place by a clip is welded on not bolted so you can't even disconnect that for more room. This is giving me a serious head ache....:wtf:

I'll get some pics tonight. In 01 & 02 they changed the rear brakes due to the traction control. Each corner has its own line so the VSC can control each wheel.
I did the tundra upgrade last night and I bled the crap out of the lines and the pedal is still mushy. I'm not sure what else to do to get the pedal firm. I may do it the old fashioned way tonight and have my wife help me.

How did you bleed them? I have had trouble getting rid of squishiness a couple times, and what seems to solve it for me is to drive it a bit slamming the brakes hard, then use speed bleeders to move alot of fluid through very quickly. I suspect doing that doesn't allow air bubbles to float back up the lines and actually forces them out the bleeder valve. Just be sure you are moving enough fluid to carry bubbles all the way from the MC to caliper and out.
I feel like a salesman for speed bleeders with as much as I promote them, but they have seemed to work so well on both my 4runner and my motorcycle, both of which have had the squishy brake problem solved when I redid the brakes.

I bled them using a mighty vac vacuum pump (the hand held ones) that you put on the bleeder and draw a vacuum. I always saw bubbles but the book that came with the mighty vac said that small bubbles were ok as those are probably from the bleeder itself and not in the lines.
Are the speed bleeders you are talking about the bleeder screws that are like $8 a piece that let air out but not fluid? Those always seemed too good to be true and more like snake oil. If that's what you're talking about and you say they work, I might run out and get a set. Do you just drive normally and they bleed themselves?

The third is from the drivers side and you can see the 2 lines. The one closest to the camera is the drivers side and I think I can do that one but the other...
