Has anyone painted, polished, or coated the step/insert thing on the rear bumper ? Mine looks faded pretty badly and i can't even tell the original color of it , i was thinking of painting it black or traction coat/rhino line type stuff, got a write up or any ideas ?

Mine is rhino lined along with my bumpers, grille, and fender flares, oh and my rear air deflector and the license plate insert thingy. Looks awesome and durable, just keep it treated with 303 to keep it shiny and protected.

Yup. Rust O Leum Paint for Plastic worked awesome. Cleaned it with simple green then 3 coats of gloss black and it looks brand new, still perfect now after 2 years of duty. Climb under with a pair of 90 degree needle nose and a small pry bar/flathead screwdriver and pop the clips, think there was about 8-10 of them. I used the same paint on my front valence, rear license plate surround, and SR5 flares and mud flaps. Love the stuff.

I used Rustoleum satin black on the roof racks, the cowl, and the bumper cover over a year ago and they still look like the day I painted them. :artist2:
