Rear Bumper!

So I was searching craigslist yesterday and came across an add for a Sonoran Steel rear bumper. Price was $600 and it said it needs to be re-powder coated.

I went and checked it out and offered the guy $500, and he said he wouldn't go any lower than $550. So I bought it for $550!

It does have some rust spots and I plan on getting it powder coated as soon as I have the money. I called a place and got a quote for $200 to sand blast it and powder coat it. For now Im just going to grind and sand down the rust as best as I can and power wash it. Maybe put a little paint on it.

I should have it mounted on Sunday and have pics up by Sunday night.

Here she is as I bought her:

Oh! and i forgot to mention, the bumper is fabbed for a 1.5" body lift, which is what I have, so I couldnt pass it up! Not to mention they are $1200 new.

I would say you did real good on that bumper, The rust is no biggie. How does that mount up, does it use the hitch mounts?

Nice find man. That is going to be real nice and what are the chances is set up for your body lift too. You couldn't pass that up... that was destiny

glad to see you got that

nice pickup snow

glad to see someone local cash in on that one.

Hope to see that on the trails next summertime.

Got all the rust grounded down today, power washed it, and got the primer on.

Tomorrow the paint and install! And hopefully more pics!

Are you painting it yourself, or having it powder coated? Way to jump right on the project, with no delay. I am usually much more lazy...

Can't wait to see the finished install!

This paint is just told hold me over till I can afford to powder coat it. Hopefully I can do that this summer.

I got it painted and gave it 8 hours to dry before I mounted it. I do wish I had given it a little longer because it smudged when I was mounting it up, but oh well, I'll sand it down later.

Damn it looks so badass! Now get that limited silver trim rhino lined! :bigok:
Thanks man!

I gotta get it powder coated before i think about rhino lining the trim. lol. If I had the money I think I'd rhino line the trim and paint the rest of the body black. :bigok:

yes it did. There are 4 bolts on each side.

Im really happy with it even though there are a few gaps and the paint smudged a little.
