Rear cat removal

All this talk about taking cats off got me thinking, bad idea usually cost me $$ , URD offroad y-pipe anyone done this ? Sounds fairly simple , understand it says for off-road use HOWEVER ? This seems like a good fix for better breathing of exhaust to me , + & or - for this ?

Your vehicle was designed by Toyota to operate with four cats so that it meets federal emissions standards, so I wouldn't recommend removing any of them. I had to replace just one cat in my '99 SR5 and it cost me over $1,000, so I'm not huge fan of them, but with that being said I also think it'd be pretty foolish to remove them for some imagined performance gain that might not even materialize.

I was told by a buddy of mine who had an 02 tundra he ran no cats for a while but also had jba headers, x pipe and true duals, but he later on put the cats back on and now instead of true duals is running a single in and dual and he says his truck runs alot better than with the true duals and no cats.

The two cats in the stock manifolds are enough I'd imagine. You will be fine by deleting only one cat in the Ypipe. It's past the O2 sensors, so you aren't going to throw a code. You could probably get a custom Y pipe made for a lot less than URD's.
