I have Daystar's rear spring spacers to install and I would appreciate to learn from you about installation tips. Should I have a coil spring compressor to do this job or I can manage to do it without it?

unless they are front and rear u cant bc the rear coils are wider then the front coils so if the spacers are both meant for the rear they will not fit properly on the front stock coils...

ull prob get around 2.5" in the beginning but itll sag so ya i wouldnt get the 1.5" since its not much lift and itll look almost stock after a while.
I installed my 1.5" daystar spacers several months ago. It was a huge pain....but only for one reason: I didn't use a jack to jack up the opposite side of the axle that I was working on. Since I didn't do that, I had to use spring compressors, and have my dad stand on a drum and push down as hard as he could on the side I WAS working on to try and get the clearance to put them back in.
Take the lower shock bolts out, disconnect the sway bar and the panhard bar, and make sure you don't break the brake line. Other than that, it should be too bad.
Should I disconnect both shocks and both panhard bars and do both springs in one shot or keep one side connected and work with another one? Confused.
Disconnect all of it, so the axle is completely "free". Support the center under the differential with a jackstand, and then use your jack to lever the axle over the pivot point of the jackstand to free up room on each side at a time.
im not exactly sure how long before they begin to sag since i nvr owned spacers but i think its over like 3 or more years... My cousin had a grand cherokee and had spacer lift on it and we didnt notice any sag at all; he owned it for 4 years.
Chances are your stock '99 coils are already saggy. Putting spacers on new coils can give you up to several years before major sagging. But you are putting them on 11 year old coils. If you wheel they will probably wear out in a few months to a year, mine did on my first lift.
The reason is that spacers smash the coils when your flexing the suspension more than they were ever intended to be compressed and that kills them much faster. The fronts on our trucks wear out even faster with spacers because they preload (partially compress) the coils even while at rest. That is because they are assembled inside the strut, as opposed to the rears which are separate from the shock and at rest the spacers just sit on top of the coils just as the body does..
My advice is to do it right the first time. You already have the bug so don't spend more $$ in the long run doing it twice.
So brian2sun, I want to get the Tundra coil set up when I get my 3rd gen. I was thinking of adding some 3/8 inch spacers to the front to lift it a little more because I will have 7 wrap LC's in the back. Would the tundra coils then sag faster due to the spacers? Is it going to be a problem in the long run or should I just not get the spacers?
