Rear defrost does not work

Having some difficulty searching for this but my rear defrost doesn't work. Does anybody have any thoughts on where to start?

Is there power at the connector?

Okay. Not very good with electronics but I will give it a try. I do know how to connect the fuse though.:nod:

That's all the rear defroster is. Just wires that get warm.

If you've got a multimeter, start with the back. If you've got no power there, check the switch. You can try to straight wire the switch to see if you get power to the back. If you do, you need a new switch. If not, look into the fuzes and the wiring.

Check and make sure the rear window has not dropped down. Even a little will not allow the defroster to work. Don't ask how I know.

Curious to see where this goes. Mine does not work as well. As asked above, the wiper works but my defrost button does not light up.

I haven't taken any time to look into this yet...hoping to learn something from this thread.

rear window is all the way up and the switch used to come on but does not anymore. Didn't work when it came on anyways. Did some trouble shooting last night and we think that it is possibly a wire somewhere that may have been cut.

Thank you! Was about to go through everything, turns out my window was down a 1/8”. You saved me a lot of work.
