Rear diff rebuild kit or ECGS diff?

My rear diff has been giving the whirling sound for about 80k miles. I’m going to replace it soon as I know the bearings are shot. I see a few reviews on the motive and Yukon rebuild kits. Anyone know how close they are to OEM? I also see that ECGS has a fully built trade for 750 plus your core. I have a guy that will rebuild with me supplying parts and put it in for 600. Anyone have reviews on the rebuild kit of ECGS swap? Thanks guys. Looking to buy in the next few days.

O7 sport 4wd V6 with 275k miles.

I did the ECGS swap a couple of years back. Overall a good experience and has been good with no issues so far. Only note is it took a good 3-4 weeks for them to ship it to me so if it is something you are needing quick the rebuild might be a better option.

I called and talked to Matt over at ECGS last week. Once I’m ready I’m going to go that route. After talking to the shops around my area to regear my 04 the labor that they are quoting me it isn’t going to jive with my wallet. Good luck and keep us posted on what you decide.
