Rear differential compatibility

Was wondering if I can put a non locking 4wd 4runner rear diff in my 2wd 4runner.

to put a locker in a non-locker housing, you have to mod it to fit.
i dont think a non-locker 3rd will go in a locker housing.

well, not without leaking badly..

unless we're talking about the complete rearend, then yes, that will work.

Think you might be a little confused. He is asking if a non-elocker diff will fit which it will since all non elocker diffs are the same for the 3rd gen aside from the gear ratio.
