Rear Differential Fluid, 75W-90 Okay for 2WD?

I have been searching high and low, and for the life of me cannot find the answer. I only see 4WD guys using 75W-90 all around for front and rear. Is there any 2WD using this weight? I cannot find 80W-90 (Manual Recommendation) anywhere online for a decent price, and the other recommendation 75W-85 (Only see it at dealerships). I am sure it'll be fine, but I wanted to see first hand experience with someone using it as of now. Thanks.

80w-90 is very common. You can find it at Walmart, any parts store, or online at dozens of websites.

Yes. I run Amsoil 75-90 and mine is 2wd.

OP, the difference between 80W90 and 75W90 is minimal and won't be an issue at all. Choose your favorite brand of either type and you will be just fine.

With a good synthetic every 50-60k should be fine if mainly used as a commuter, but if you do a water crossing it should be changed immediately after that. If I was towing a lot I'd do it every 30k or so with an atf drain and fill.

Thank you! Are there easy instructions on how to do it? Mines got 130k but I don't believe it's ever been done (service records don't indicate it).
