Rear Differential Pinion Seal Leak

After a shop rebuilt my rear differential the shop or myself can't get the pinion seal to stop leaking. I have verified and re-verified my differential breather extension is not plugged. We have used multiple OEM seals and have spaced the yoke flange out so the seal rides on a new surface on the yoke. My next intended plan of action is to buy a new yoke flange. Has anyone encountered a similar situation and/or has any ideas?? Thanks.

are you sure its leaking past the seal?
toyotas are good for leaking out the threads, and under the nut.

we usually put some sealant on the threads to prevent this.

It's definitely leaking past the seal. It's not leaking through the spline and through the nut.

Update: Old pinion flange had a slight runout. Installed a new OEM flange and seal and bingo! No runout, no leak!

Thanks for posting up on how you fixed it. A lot of folks just find the answer and don't tell anyone. People that search later get a dead end thread and no help. Thank you. We need this more often.
