Yes I do have the same problem. I emailed shrockworks and got a response today asking for pictures of the contact. I will try and get the pictures after work today and keep you guys updated.

Installing new sway bar links from Mstudt has avoided my drive shaft hitting the gas tank. Although on some serious flex positions. It still hits. It's actually the weight on the drive shaft getting cought on the gas tank skid. Because of the way the drive shaft spins. It catches the lip.

Yeap, now that im connected im also pretty good. Replace the rear zerk with a flat head top screw because it will shear off when it hits the skid.

Well built skids will have this portion cut out for this reason. Very surprised they dont. I have lowered bump stops and still my stock skid at full flex.

You have your rear sway bar disconnected? Connected there is a lot less chance of hitting the tank.

I was thinking about busting out a cutter to get rid of that section.
Yes to removed sway bars. Very hard to say if I regret doing that. My steering rack is now leaking + grinding driveshaft on the gas tank skid... ugh...

Reconnect that rear sway bar. Bet it cures most of the issue. I really should go with you guys. I boycott Facebook still to this day. Maybe have my wife add it so I can see when you guys head up.

Yea but is your contact on some serious flex ? Because before I connected my sway bar. My drive shaft would hit even when turning into the driveway.

If you run any coils with 3.5" lift and good flex you will always contact. But its usually at full stuff. If its really bad than you need to lower bump stops and that helps. Without notching skid you wont eliminate the issue.

If you run any coils with 3.5" lift and good flex you will always contact. But its usually at full stuff. If its really bad than you need to lower bump stops and that helps. Without notching skid you wont eliminate the issue.

I emailed Shrockworks back Friday morning with pictures of my skid plate and where it is rubbing on the forward most bolt and the corner that is welded ahead of it. Also found out it sheared off my grease zerk so that's good...

No response as of yet. I hope I get something back from they by tomorrow. I don't like feeling like I am being ignored.

Yes I agree with you. I haven't looked at my zerk. Hopefully its there. But truly looks like the weight on driveshaft is hitting it.

Only way to fully get rid of the issue is gas tank relocation. Or smaller coil. In my situation I feel I would hit the gas tank even with skid removed.
