Rear driver-side door not locking

I noticed today after programming my new keyless remote that my drivers side rear door is not locking with my remote or with my power locks in the truck. What do you guys think it could be and how difficult are the door panels to remove. Don' t want to tear into something over my head. Thanks for the help

I've seen the door lock actuators go bad before. Don't pull too hard on the panel pulling it off. If it doesn't come loose with light pressure there's probably a screw still holding it. Pretty easy diagnosis though. If the door locks and unlocks with the lever but not with the remote or switch its very likely the actuator. Pretty easy fix. Be careful, go slow and you can do it yourself without breaking anything. You will need a T30 Torx socket to unbolt the actuator from the door.

The only lock actuator I found was fro like $175. Is this what probably need replacing? If so I will just leave it cause thats a pretty penny

That sounds about right for the actuator. Electrical parts are never cheap.
