Rear hatch and wiper not working

Howdy.

I did a search on the forum for my 4runner's issue and didn't find any answers. So I wanted to ask the group for help.

The rear hatch and wiper was working this morning and tonight, the wiper won't work and the hatch won't open. The rear door light works and the window will go down with the key turned in the rear hatch.

I'm guessing maybe I disconnected a wire with my foot while, engaging the Emergency brake, but everything looks connected.

Any ideas?

Lower the window all the way down, then all the way up. Then try the wiper again.

Not sure why that would keep the hatch from opening though. Does the rear defroster turn on and off? Trying to think of anything else electrical. Third brake light is at the top of the door too. Does that light up?

Possibly a pinched wire?

Tried the window all the way down and up. tried "normalizing the windows" did the lock and unlock trick too. It's dark and pouring rain here in the bay. Will have to get back out there in the morning.

Do you know where the fuses are for the back hatch and wiper? Is that by the steering wheel or under the hood?

I'm 99% sure you'll be looking in the interior fuse box. I cannot find a diagram of it, but I did find the engine diagram and it's not on there.
