Rear Hatch Operation

06 sport 4wd. When I close the rear hatch, there are two motor noises..motor hum/half second/motor hum...just wondering if that is normal, maybe first is latch, and second is lock? The hatch does close. Again, just curious, because I have been reading about problems with the hatch motor. Thanks

Did you just get it? Because it's a nice feature so you don't have to slam your rear hatch to close.

It closes the hatch fully so you dont have to slam it like gomoboo said. If you watch the hatch at the seems you can see it.

I did just get it. The reason I ask is because my Eldo has this feature on the trunk, and it just grabs the trunk and closes in on fail swoop. The T4R seems to make two operations, and I was just wondering if this was normal.
