Rear hatch replacement

I'm replacing my rusted rear hatch with one I got from a pick n pull. My hatch has an extra connector going to box. Located pretty central on the ceiling of the cargo area. Not the best photo, but I can't quite get the headliner down enough to get a good look at it. The hatch I got from the junkyard doesn't have the extra connector. Anyone know what it's for? Pretty sure I could solder it onto the "new" hatch if I need it.

May be more helpful to show where it goes on the hatch itself. Your 4runner new enough to have a backup camera?

I figured this out at one point and I'll see if I can recall. its something with the newer 05+, but functionally all those tailgates are very similar

Anyhow - I had an 03 SR5, without a spoiler and I only had one harness.
- I replaced it with 05 hatch with a spoiler and that had 2 harnesses. I only plugged the one in that fit and didnt have any issues (so the opposite issue you have)

My current 08 has both ECUs that the harnesses plug in to and again had to replace the rear hatch and the donor hatch had both harnesses
