rear hatch swap

My 2002 rear hatch has a decent dent in the bottom and some random spots of rust forming around the rubber trim. I found a 2002 replacement, same color.

Aside from the key lock cylinder, is there anything else I will need to swap between them for proper function?

I may also want to swap the glass between them, the doner has a lot of ugly stickers. mine has 2 stickers i would like to keep.

thanks

The remote key memory might be in the rear hatch ECU (that's where the keyless entry computer is located), so that might also have to be swapped.

Somebody else might know for sure, but that's an easier swap than the key cylinder... :bigok:

saw that video, swapping the hatch looks easy enough. Just checking if I need to swap anything from my old hatch to the new hatch to maintain full function.

key lock cylinder
keyless ecu
glass (just because)

guessing the rear hatch ECU controls the window functions via key fob?

Rear hatch ECU is the "receiver" for all the key FOB controls , not just the rear window.

Yeah... getting that key cylinder out is an absolute pain. I am never doing one again lol.
