Rear lift shock options

Hey guys. There is just soooooo much info about the shocks and I'm digging through everything but I wanted to see what you guys are running in the mean time. I have a 1.5" daystar spacer on the rear, plus I use air lift 1000 bags for load hauling when pulling a trailer. The stock shocks are just too short for this, I top them out every time the trailer bounces, and that can be bad cause once they reach max extension the next thing to come off the road is gonna be the tires...and if that happens pulling a trailer it's gonna be a bad time. I ordered a pair of Pro Comp ES9000's #921513 as they were listed on pro comps site to fit "2.5" lift rear" but that is VERY WRONG. They are actually shorter that stock shocks by several inches. With stock shocks I have about 1" of travel before the shock can't extend anymore. Surely someone else has had this problem?

Well, here's what I found. There's a lot of "it should" and "pretty sure" on the internet but I started looking at numbers. The 921513 I had ordered is listed as extended length of 21.75" Stock shocks extended length is 22.3"
The Pro Comps that ToyTec sells as extended length, I'm still trying to figure out the pro comp number on. Possible 924514


Are you guys seriously running stock shocks with your daystar 1.5" spacers on the rear?

not sure if this helps you but I recently bought a set of Bilstein 5125 shocks that had more travel for almost this same reason


I got the 33-230351 for a medium stiffness but with 26.4" of extended travel I dont think my lift will exceed that

I worry that may be too long actually, resulting in bottoming out the shock a lot :/

Icon 56505 Rear Icon Shocks (FJ & 03-11 4Run). If you're worried about bottoming out your shock then just lower your rear bumpstops a couple of inches.
