Rear Link choices

Hey All,

Since this topic came up in another thread, I went down the rabbit hole. Here's a few choices for heavy-duty rear links since Rokmen is out of business:

SPC Heavy Duty Lower Links - I have these and bought them from O'Reilly's. Wheeler's carries them, but they cost more there.

OEM+ Series Chromoly Rear Links (96-02 4Runner) – Opt Offroad

Rear Adjustable Control Arms (96-02 4Runner) – Opt Offroad

Performance Series Chromoly Rear Links (96-02 4Runner) – Opt Offroad

Speaking of Opt Offroad, they have a TON of stuff for the 3rd Gens: 3rd Gen 4Runner – Opt Offroad

Apoc Industries makes some adjustable links: 1996-2002 Toyota 4 Runner Adjustable Trailing Arms - Apoc Industries

Steve at Sonoran Steel offers a couple of sets: 3rd Gen Individual Suspension Parts

Heavy-Duty Billet Aluminum Lower Links Lower Control Arms - 3rd Gen 4runner – Overland Custom Design

Heavy-Duty Billet Aluminum Upper Links Upper Control Arms - Overland Custom Design

Hope this is useful info.

Cheers.

I just installed some OPT Offroad rear control arms on my 98. They're pretty sweet. I documented the install in the video below.

This isn't a recommendation but more of a "hey, I found out these exist a few days ago".

Am I reading that right? All 5 rear suspension arms for $166 with free shipping? And with rod ends? That can't possibly be right?

To be fair, that company is known for its "cheaper" manufacturing practices - very much a chineese/eBay special type deal.

But there are hundreds of turbo Miatas making upwards of 400whp on the same companies forged rods so it very well may be worth the dice-roll...

Ehh....

I think I'd rather blow up an engine than lose an axle on the highway...

I have been running adjustable lower rears from MStudt. He had a 3rd gen on here for a long time, but he sold it, but is still active on the forum. I recently bought a set of uppers from him also. I don't see them on his website anymore, just the more expensive aluminum ones here:

– Overland Custom Design

He might still be making 3rd gen links. I'm sure he can chime in here, or you can PM him.

Website says they're in stock. I updated the original post with the OCD Links.
