Rear Mount Turbo Revival

I WANT THE SOUNDS OF THE TURBO FOR CHEAP, BUT NOW CHEAP ENOUGH TO HAVE A SPEAKER THAT MAKES THE SOUNDS, IS THIS POSSIBLE WHILE RUNNING IT AT A LOW PSI FOR A CHEAP BUILD. Might be a little late to the party, i was only 13 when the clownmeat thread started, now at 18 with my parents 4runner, i have over 2 grand in upgrades to it, is there any new info I should know or any new items being sold for a rear mount turbo, im at 246000 and I need a little more power for the ladies, and to keep up with my friends Porsche. Im kinda thinking of a budget turbo build instead of a 3000$ supercharger. I consider my self good at 4runners and able to do all the work to get her done. Any help?

Ok, if you want more power but are sticking with your current 4Runner and if you're really after a turbo, there's a lot of good resources over at www.customtacos.com. Not a whole lot of V6 turbo builds but there are some.

You'll need either a piggyback system that can drive the injectors (you'll need very big injectors) or a standalone system. If you want to go rear-mount you'll need to do a fair amount of piping and/or welding. It's not impossible but it'll take time and money.

If you just want more power that's easy to install, supercharger is much simpler and can cost less than a turbo system if you get one used.
