Rear sag fix with no lift.

New OEM rear springs?
I installed 99 few years ago but they sag too. Get an airlift 1000, gives no lift but allows you to pull a trailer without rear sag. You don't have to remove a single bolt to install these air bags though some say they had to remove rear springs to install the air bags. For $80 you can get a set shipped.

Given real life experience with the same issue, I would have to say that airbags cure the rear sag issue and provide a little extra peace-of-mind when towing.
After much thought, I bought the AirLift 1000's from Amazon at about $80 and installed them in my rear springs. I ran the air line to the rear bumper and installed the nipple in an existing hole on the drivers side rear bumper. I have had these for quite some time now and love them!!! Highly recommended.
I find myself comparing the stance of my T4R to others when I see them in the parking lot. Looks much better with the correct rear support and having the option of stiffening or lightening the lift is a winner for me. I have found running about 16-18 pounds in them is perfect for my daily driving.

That seems high. I've got the same kit on my 99 and with 5lbs it is just right. 15 was WAY to stiff and I was literally bouncing over the bumps.

Air bags
I installed air bags because of towing and nasty sway at highway speeds.
Did not remove the springs. Did have to cut the bump stops down but easy.
If I pump up the air bags to 20-25 pounds it is a bit of a lift but intended to tow a trailer from Atl to Ft walton...6 times, loaded...270k!!!!

I vote air bags also. As far as psi I would run as low as possible then add air when towing.
15 psi may not be that far off. it all depends on the air bag. I know we have trucks that have the same brand air bags but different psi and the ride is very similar. It could also have something to do with how stiff or soft the coils are. the stiffer the coil the less air you will need.

This is the kit I bought. You need to lift the truck by the frsme so the axle hangs, and a sawzall will come in handy to cut the bumper cone. A hacksaw would also work. Squeeze the bag and insert it nipple side up. Put the clamp on the airline after threading it through the top of the frame and through the bumpstop. I used some aluminum backed sound deadener to wrap around the airline where it was close to the exhaust on the passenger side.
