I am based out in Texas and found the parts at Genuine Toyota Parts | Replacement Toyota Parts and they are priced at $88.88
That's a good one, too.

Isn't one side " a lot" more $ then the other side ?

Anyways it's still reasonably priced for a OEM part. I recommend right away tapping the drain to bigger size. And bed line the new metal. For extra rust protection. Then after all said and done. Put grease or fluid film in there to further prevent rust.
THERE WILL BE A LOT OF GRINDING AND CUTTING. If you cut the weld with a cut of wheel you can use a air hammer or grinder to easily pop the old weld of.
Hey guys, new to the site with a new used 4runner and had this issue. I don't have the tools so would probably need to hire a welder. I found this awesome thread with the part numbers but any idea on reasonable fees for a welder in DC area?
Do yourself a favor, you can take it to any mechanic shop that isnt a huge corporate brand. Any small time shop will have someone in there that knows how to weld. The favor part however, would be you removing the old mounts beforehand. They could end up charging you a pretty penny based off of a labor quote alone. If you have the parts and already have the old mounts cut out then you can get in and out without paying an arm and a leg.
Come on. Most small time shops have a welder to patch up shoddy exhausts that cheapskate customers won't repair. Welding a chassis is a different league and brings on way more liability.
Great guy Mr. TheDurk can provide you with the correct part number. He's the one who gave me the part numbers. And unfortunately I have forgotten it. It ran me little under $200. It's a OEM toyota replacement part. It's not a easy job. But it's doable. Much easier on a lift.
Does anyone know the part numbers for replacing the shock mount towers on a 1997 4runner? And a site to order from?
