Rear spring replacement help!!!

I currently have my 2004 v6 at my local mechanics shop having them install a bunch of new suspension parts but they just called me and said they can't get the new springs in because the LCA won't drop enough. Would the bottle jack method with the 2x4 and jack combo be helpful in getting that lea to drop enough?

Well I convinced the guys to try the bottle jack method and they said it worked perfectly so ill be picking it up around 5pm and I can't be more excited to see the new lift

Disconnect sway bar , pan hard bar, and jack up one side stuffed. the spring should out. The rear links will not limit travel enough to put any spring you want in.

The links were the first thing they disconnected since Im replacing them anyway. The jack method gave them enough weight on it to get the new springs in

Glad it worked out for you. I'd have probably just taken my truck back and done it myself and never talked to that shop again ever. I disconnected nothing except the shock, factory bottle Jack did it for me on 2"lift springs. Easy peasy. I bet it would be easier with the wheels still on.

I hate paying people to do things, they screw it up too often. If I have to tell a "mechanic" how to install springs I'm not going to be polite when I explain it.
