Rear sway bar size?

I ordered the energy suspension rear sway bar bushing kit from Jegs and it says 17mm, but when I went to put the bushings on they were too small. I've found one post saying that the rear bar is 21mm, but everywhere else indicates that the rear is 17mm. Anyone know what is going on? Are there any models that come with a larger rear sway bar? Or are the 2wd runners 17mm? I have an 05 V8 Sport.

just found my rear sway bar broken.....truck still handles ok..no idea when it broke...any downsides to still driving it for a while before replacing?.....will check rockauto for prices

Some people remove it completely for more articulation. As long as the broken part can't hit anything it should be fine.

I just ordered an Addco rear sway bar to replace my stock broken rear sway. Articulation was great w/o it but I can tell the difference without it on the highway. It's not as bad as driving without the front or with both of obviously but you will notice some difference. Who knows though, I may end up installing it and then taking it right back off
