rear trunk tweeters

Any of you replace the rear hatch tweeters?

I finally replaced my amp. I have components up front and did not replace the rear passenger yet because I want to hear if the ones I bought sound good.

I like them but the tweeters are too bright. The crossover has 0db, -3db, and -6db. I wired them to -3db. I will take the door panels out and switch them to -6db. Using my hands to cover the tweeter actually made it sound better..lol

Anyhow... any of you replaced the rear speakers? if so did you get a 2way or component for the rear? It just don't make sense to me to separate the tweeter so far away. Plus its a pain to splice wires a just for the tweeters.

Any recommendations for a warmer sounding speakers would be appreciated.

Most people only run front tweets since that is the best setup for sound quality. Rear tweeters will probably cause more interference of sound waves, so it might be louder, but probably not cleaner. In terms of more warmer speakers, I hear morel would be a good choice. Most of their speakers are quite expensive, but even theyre entry level, the maximo 6's have the same warm sound. Alpines also tend to be a bit on the warmer side. Stay away from Infinity or Focal if you dont like bright tweeters
