rear view camera, check engine light

Hey all -

I have a Kenwood DDX418. It has a rear view camera option built in. I purchased rear view camera, properly powered and grounded it, and connected the dedicated rear view camera line on the Kenwood to the 4Runner's reverse wire (like the instructions say to do). Everything was working great until today. I put the 4Runner in reverse and the AC cut out, check engine light, VSC and Trac lights came on. I replaced the AC fuse under the dash and the AC works again, but the lights are still on. Any ideas???

I think the check engine lights will stay on for a short while even if the problem has been corrected.

If the problem is fixed, the check engine light will clear on its own. Or you can disconnect the negative terminal of the battery and reconnect it. It will clear the check engine light.

However, the check engine light will come back on if the problem hasn't been fixed.
