Rear winch idea opinions

ok so i got a 12k for the front and a few weeks ago i got a brand new 6k for a stupid low price of 100$
i was gonna mount it on a car hauler we had but finds out i had to give it back any way, now i have a 6k with no specific purpose.
i was thinking for my build since i assume you can mount a winch upside down? since its just an electric motor to mount it up side down under the rear of the back so the cable feeds straight down and have a bent piece of tubing to feed the cable threw to the back to have both capability of winching in front and back?
Thoughts? any thing im missing to make this work?

They make a winch mount that plugs into ur tow hitch. I know Warn and Superwinch make 'em. Draw-tite and HiddenHitch make em too. Warn has extra long wiring kits to reach the back end.

yea but then it becomes some thing extra i have to carry inside the truck cause i wouldn't want to leave it on the back people like to swipe things around here and then when i need it, it will probably be in the garage cause im hauling something. i rather tuck it and always have it.

You could make your own mounting plate and weld and brace it to the frame under the bed considering your spare isn't back there and (depending on your rear bumper situation) cut out some of the bumper for a roller fair lead or even make one to go into the hitch so you can take it out. Just some thoughts, pretty interested to see how this turns out.

Im reworking the entire back part of frame im pretty sure I have space in the back behind the fuel cell and air tank for the winch and it would be vary reinforced

iroke17, my buddy put a Warn m8000 in a rear bumper on his 06 taco. He had a hell of a time finding a prebuilt rear bumper that had a spot for a winch, but he did find one. basically ya, you just flip the winch upside down and what ever orientation that it will sit in there and not be pulling on the bolts. Then extend your 12v lead and youre done. What my buddy did after that, because he doesnt like the wireless remote setups, he hard wired the remote through the frame (or with the frame, or something...) and hooked it up to a 7 pin hitch plug that he installed to the side of the bed. then he put the male end of the 7 pin on the end of a wired remote so he could just reach out his window, plug in to the hitch plug, and away he went.

be sweet to have a rear winch. just make sure to re clock it according because of the drain holes

I know how to install it thats not an issue and its wireless so not issue there just getting opinons and im building a bumper so not worried about the lead.
