Rear Wind Deflector Mounting Questions

I removed the rear wind deflector to give it a fresh coat of paint, and found a couple of issues. One of the rivnuts has corroded badly (see below), I'm wondering if I can drill it out and replace it with a standard rivnut (size?).



Also, I need two new gaskets/seals that go under the mounting brackets, but I can't find a part number for these. Any help would be appreciated.

The body shop installed threaded rivet-type inserts when they repaired/replaced my liftgate and the rivets are not flush, they stand at least 1+mm proud of the surface. The factory gasket will not do much. I plan to use black RTV to seal mine.

Thank you, sounds like rivnuts are the way to go. Aside from the rusted one, another one is free spinning, so they need to be replaced. I now have an assortment of stainless rivnuts heading my way from Amazon .

And I actually had the same thought about the gasket - some black RTV would probably do a better job.

There are only part numbers for the deflector itself, stanchion assembly and hardware kit. There are no gaskets in the hardware kit. And no separate part number for the lone gasket.
