Rear window gasket issue (92)

I have a 92 that had the rear gasket all messed up years ago, and i'd like to find out what it takes to replace it and if anyone has a way to look up part numbers/cost from the dealer.

I need to take the tailgate apart to fix the rear window defrost and this seems as good a time as any.

Basically the seal got pulled up when someone slid something across the top, and it's never been right since.

Did you resolve your problem? I have an 86 with dried and shrunk window seals. I found door glass seals but haven't located a seal for the tailgate. Do you know where these can be purchased?

I'm pretty sure the dealer is your best bet. its kind of pricey but the correct one.

Where did you find the door glass seals?
Are they the ones on the rear door windows?

I just recently picked up 2 rear glass seals from a dealer in Texas (I ordered it online, Richland or Richmond Toyota). They had the 1st gen weatherstripping for the outside and inside in stock and they were about $35 apiece. You can grab your part number from toyodiy.com or just call the dealer and they can find the parts. I found decent quality stripping for the driver/passenger door from Ebay, but I believe I could have done better by getting those from the dealership also.
