Rear window issue but motor works

So my rear window won't go down. The motor works but no window movement. Help appreciated

sounds like the window rail is rotted out and the arms are not pulling it down its common. open up the tailgate and see whats going on. you just need to pull the panel off.

Pulled the panel off already. Any hints in what I should be looking for?

two big long arms that go up and down with the gear in the middle. if they are moving and your windows not then find out if it rusted off or just poped off the window little rollers at the end of those arms connect to a track under the glass of the window.
if the arms are not moving then your motor ether broke the gear or is not tight enough to have the gears grab.
my money is on the regulator arms ripped off the bottom due to rust.

It's the motor that's shagged. Just pulled it out. And the motor goes but does grip on the sprocket on the motor

So I've worked out the problem and have figured I can work this out myself. So using some glue to see if the will work

i wouldn't try to glue you may cause more problems just get a replacement motor.

I have been there and done that with the glue/sealant before. Needless to say I had to pull it out again after about a month and get one from the junkyard. I hope it works out for you, I am just trying to spread the word!!!!!!!

Fortunatly for me it has worked a treat. but thanks for the advice. if it fails again il be sure to invest in another motor.
