Rear window only rolls down

I’ve got a 1997 4runner an Went out on a nice day and rolled all my windows Down including my rear hatch. All my passenger windows went up and still work fine. Went to roll the back hatch back up an nothing. The only control I have is with the key in the rear hatch. I can roll it down with the key but that’s it, not up. The switch up front does nothing now. At first it rolled it down an now nothing. I have replaced the window motor the the circuit board in the blue box, checked all connections. Especially where the common wire breaks are in the hatch. Tore everything apart and inspected for broken wires, everywhere from the window motor to under the dash. I have checked fuses as well. I can roll it up by touching certain contacts on the circuit board. Am I missing something? Relays I’m missing? Any help is much appreciated!!!

That sounds frustrating. My back window doesn't roll back up with the key button. I always thought that was the way it was supposed to work. I'd like to know otherwise though.

I would verify the wiring is all good in your rear hatch boot. As the wires like to break and short in the rear hatch boot as well as the drivers side door due to the age of the rigs.

From the factory the key fob button only rolls down the rear window. It will not roll it back up.

'96-'98 cannot control the window with the remote. '99-'02 remote will only roll the rear window down.

He's talking with the key in the rear hatch or dash switch.

Wiring/control for the rear window is completely different between '96-'98 and '99-'02.
