Just had a thought...maybe it HAD leather and was stolen or wrecked or stripped and they replaced the seats with cloth????????:bash:

just a thought...i thought the limited, aside from leather, came with woodgrain as a standard option?:D

I believe the concensus was that this vehicle had too many inconsistincies to be a Limited. Why carfax lists it that way is strange though. I suppose it could have had a lot of equipment replaced but just for starters we are looking at, different seats, different 4wd system, different climate control. I can't imagine what kind of accident would require those components to be replaced that the truck was not totalled.

right and all of those changes are for the worse or "less-luxury"

but yeah carfax is false security...

CarFax is a total fraud. Has anyone actually seen one with anything on it?

I've bought 2 toyotas - 1 tacoma and 1 4runner - and both had spotless carfax reports.

And both had been wrecked before. The Tacoma had been completely repainted and the 4runner has been wrecked in the back and right side.

And I've talked to a few mechanics and body shops that say they don't bother reporting anything when they do body work - the system is so flawed.

Don't waste your money with CarFax - have a mechanic check it out.

And if you live in the Atlanta area, I have a GREAT mechanic - he specializes in Toyota and Lexus - GREAT place to go.

agree on the carfax - it only shows up when someone reports it, which is rare if ever... it's only use is to tell where the vehicle was titled at...
