Rear wiper and stereo issues.

Anyone have this???
1. When I start the 4runner the rear window wiper makes one swipe.

2. Every so often the factory jbl stereo screen goes blank. You can change the stations and skip songs on cd but the screen goes blank. If you turn it off and then back on all is good again.

3 This has only happened 2x the radio shuts off and then spits out all the cds. Then it will not turn back on for a while. (maybe heat related)

Any ideas?

1. You sure it's not on intermittent? Maybe you don't notice it going afterwards? Just a thought.

2. and 3. I bet it's a heat thing too. My non jbl one does something similar to number 2. Seemed to happen when it was really hot out and the sunroof was open and the sun was directly on it for a few hours.

Mine has a pioneer avic f70-bt, every now and then when you start it- the stereo comes on but there is no sound? If you turn it off and back on the sound starts working, happenes in all weather conditions.

sounds like a deck issue... warranty?

Mine did the exact same thing. I disconnected the battery and reinitialized the windows....this completely solved the problem. I think the connection was loose, which caused the intermittent radio and wiper issues. Hopefully this fixes your issue.

The battery ended up going out and after I changed it there have been no more issues........yet.
