They are. Toyota still sells a rebuild kit.
Like many Toyota parts, they're first used on the higher end products like Land Cruiser. There were used on the LC Prado, so very proven with safety features I've well used (auto braking under certain conditions).

If so, depends on what chit the bed Pump motor, Accumulator, PCB are the high dollar parts.
Have bad one in new one's bag n box with bad pump motor it a when I get around to it thing.

They can be rebuilt, but it's pretty cost prohibitive compared to a new unit when you figure paying shop labor. I have a buddy that does these all the time, and he says its just not worth it.
There is a guy out there doing partial rebuilds on them for about 700 bucks... If you shop around, you can get a brand new OEM unit for another 4 or 500 bucks. Just not worth it.
OP is asking for a brake booster not a master cylinder. Brake boosters are not rebuildable DIY.

These guys will rebuild them. I have had friends with even old obsolete cars that have had them rebuilt. Not by this place specifically, but I know it's possible.
With the right tools anything is possible, but for most people this is not a DIY rebuild.

I looked at it this way 01-02 Master Cylinder.
I got 220k mi on first one figure I'll get that on second new one.
Price was $2300 when I bought that equals $.01045455/mile.
Year later price had dropped to $11-1300.00 that's $.0054545/mile.
Should be trouble free I do my part with fluid service.
