I've been putting this off for a year now, so I figured I'd post here and look for some advice. For a 2003 4th Genner
Two years ago out west I pulled codes relating to the exhaust (Cat Converter/O2 codes). I wiped the codes, drove back east. Fast forward one year to being back out west again, pulled the same codes 5 times while out there. Took it to a Toyota dealer and they said Cat Converter. I couldn't deal with it out there, so just kept wiping codes until I got back home. Then had a friend who works at a Toyo Dealership take a look, despite not pulling a code and he also said that the Cat was functioning properly.
Now I'm sure there's a possibility it could still be faulty O2 sensors, but I don't really want to hear all that, mostly because last year I bought two Walker Cats (Front and back) for passenger side. They've been collecting dust in their boxes for a year now, and I'm getting ready for another trip out west and I want them installed before I leave, but I'm hesitant about where I get it done. Since they are aftermarket Cats I want to make sure I take it somewhere where a quality job will be done (And preferably a warrantied job, which is why I won't have my friend work on it at the Toyota Dealership...he'll do it for less than Toyo asks, but can't warranty it).
Can anyone recommend a good shop in the Philly/Bucks Co area that does solid work? I had one recommendation for an exhaust shop but the guy said he doesn't do the manifold installs, only the underside ones and he'd have to have someone else do the manifold.
I'm also interested in having my tailpipe re-routed out the side by the rear tire instead of sticking out the back (it's been crushed by rocks by being the lowest point of the vehicle at the bumper, so I want it out the side by the rear tire instead). and would be great if the same shop could do this work as well.
Anyone have any suggestions?
