Receiver hitch!!!

I am on vacation in Colorado and I found a receiver hitch for $25! Need someone to help me figure out how long it is and about how much it weighs. I want to bring it back but dont think it will fit in my bag...


Any help would be much appreciated as my access to the interwebs is limited to my phone.

Put it on a Greyhound.

Just measure the distance between your frame rails at the rear--that will get you very close on the longest dimension. Then measure from the factory mounting bolt holes in the frame to just beyond the bumper--might be less depending on the style (some curve outward, keeping the side plates hidden). I've never weighed one, but 15-20 lbs. should be close.

go to a military surplus store and buy a duffel bag put the hitch in the duffel bag and bag check it most air ports dont charge for a military duffel bag but if they do it wont be much and you'll get you hitch home.

I dont think its going to fit in my checked bags but i did pick up a pair of wing windows on the cheap! Now my runner will stay dryer when it rains!
