Hey guys, anyone have a writeup on how to recharge the AC? Normally I would start tinkering with it, but I dont want to over/under pressurize the lines and blow anything up

The low-pressure gauge should read between 25 and 40 psi (pounds per square inch). The high pressure gauge should read between 225 and 250 psi.
this is the best specs i can find i had my buddy give me these id say as long as you keep it to the low side 225 that is you should be good dont know if this helps !! but i tryed :cheers:

If suspect there might be a leak in the a/c system I would recommend adding some dye along with coolant. It makes locating the leak a whole lot easier.
Life is good with cold air at 100+ degrees outside temps!

AC system pressures are different at different ambient temperatures. The best way to know what you need is to get a gauge.

My 95 has been in the family since new, it's been recharged once, in 2002 I believe. It blows cold, but I know it could be much colder. Im almost positive there isn't a leak.

I'm a M6 with 5501st...I'm having a few AC issues of my own and saw this thread, just joined the forum.
Let us know how it goes...I'm about to chase down a leak on my 95 4Runner tomorrow and I have another car waiting in line with some even more difficult AC problems. Just reading off of this site I've learned so much in the past two days! LOL
