recommend a wheeling camping spot between asheville nc and nashville tn?

Trying to meet up with a buddy and my brother in this area. anyone know of a great place to do light to moderate wheeling (no rocks or giant mudholes) and some cool camping?

Looking to spend 2-3 days screwing around in the woods.

And by camping I just mean someplace cool. This will be primitive to the max. drive in all our stuff. dig holes as needed...

I'll second Windrock. They have trails for just about anybody. I have been there a couple times. I have also camped there as well, their "primitive" camping is set up on a small hill away from the regular campground. The windmills are pretty cool to see too.

Curious as well, thank you. New to Tennessee and the South in general. Will be moving to the Nashville area very soon, also spend a lot of a time in Middle Tennessee.

Also in the Nashville area. Know some goof backroads around here but sadly can't make any recommendations for you. Though you might look up the Kentucky Adventure Trail on expo portal or try the Tennessee portion of the TAT.
