I just want to give a shout out to Discount Tire out in Sachse, TX. A while back, I decided to put 265/75/R16 S series BFGoodrich A/T Offroads on, and Discount did a fantastic job from pricing, balancing and installation. Overall, they did a better job than any company I have worked with in regards to tires, and Sachse's customer support was spot on.
On a side note, for my Gen 3, the 265/75/R16 size tire (32" Diameter) feels very well at home. The speedometer was more accurate (spot on with the GPS) with these tires rather than the 265/70 size tires I usually drove. In addition, braking with these oversized BFGoodrich A/T's was more responsive than my Micheline M/S2's. Overall, I feel that this size is a better match for the 4Runner. My mechanic expects this size won't be a problem from a wear-n-tear point either. The added ground clearance is a nice touch as well (it added about 1 inch radius to the tire)
