Red light camera flashes

Hi mates..

last night I went out with the lady and as I was making an right turn at an intersection.. the flash of the red light cameras flashed..

I know for an fact that it was green, I even asked my girlfriend and she said it was green too..

does anyone know why it would flash on an green light?

Might not of been you. Was anybody else passing through the intersection? Some of these red light cams are also speed cameras.

Wouldn't worry about it if you were legal.

Edit: Happened to me a couple of times. Person along side of me was going faster then the speed limit. Red light cam flashed. Thought I done something wrong. Did not know at the time that some of the red light cams are also speed cams too.

there was an bloke in front of that was turning right also.. we were completely stopped due to the red light.. and then when the light turned green.. we both slowly accelerated and turned..

I think there was an guy that was going across the street from right to left and that's when the camera's flashed twice.. the flashes were on the right (2 o'clock pos) and the left was at my (10/11 o'clock pos)

They will flash when someone is speeding too, used to see it all the time in Tucson. Someone else might have been speeding and it flashed. You won't know if it was you til you get a ticket in the mail! lol I doubt you will. I hate those cameras.

downpour.. I was going like 5 mph when I started turning.. I mean how can i go 0-60 with less than 10ft in front of me lol..

I think that might be an person that went from right to left ran the light and the camera flashed once in the front and once in the back of his/her car...

I also doubt it too.. but it was just weird.. the light on the intersection I was at is green with an green arrow point to the right direction.. I just don't understand why it flashed on green when it initially happened.

Yeah I'm not saying it was you at all, I'm just saying they flash on green lights when someone is speeding too. So it was either someone else running a red light or speeding.

I am real weary of all speed or red light cams and I will slow down and make sure of how I am driving my vehicle. However, if it's the only way the city can stop the idiots from running the red lights and/or causing accidents/excessively speeding, then so be it. Red light cams at corners can catch a person too, so I make sure I do it right. Freakin' tickets in Tucson start at $200!

It's the few that makes it bad for the rest of us; thus that's why we need red light/speed cams.

Of course, the city makes money off of them, but that's another story.

Supra725, sounds like you're ok. I wouldn't sweat it.

thanks for the reply.. I tried to avoid all the camera section.. cause sometimes the person behind you might not an able to stop in time when that light changes thus rear ending your car..

the only thing I'm sweating atm is my rear axle is in pieces.. got the retainer and abs ring out but couldn't get the bearings out..

I stopped completely cause it was red and then went ahead when it turned green..

All of ours in League City, outside of Houston, get reviewed by a person before the ticket is sent. They also send a link to the video of the event so you can see exactly what you did.

I've gotten 1, and I was sitting at the light when the car next to me stopped over the line and saw the flash once. I never got anything from that one of course.

I know a lot of people don't like them, but I for one can see a difference in the way people drive in the intersections that have them around me. Of course my deductions are not scientific, but from what I can tell, it makes getting through these intersections much easier. I figure if I run it, I'll pay it.
