red light housings in bumpers

This is probably a weird request, but I like the looks of these on the 03-05 years. How hard would it be to swap for something like this?

Hmm.. that IS a weird request, but just from looking at it, I don't see anything that would make not doable. At first, I thought the fender lines might not match up too well, but I'm not so sure on that. I never really looked at them side by side until now, but I'd have to agree. I prefer the 03-05'. Good luck if you proceed with this.

hahah, that is weird, a T4R.ORG first!! I love mine even though I haven't modded it (yet). All I can add to this thread is that the 06 bumper and up are one piece, where the 03-05 bumper is three piece. I have no idea if it will just clip on. Good Luck!

My guess is that the 03-05 bumper would bolt in without an issue unless Toyota changed up the mounting points. The only thing I can foresee is the wheel fender trim not matching. The 03-05 fender flares aren't as wide as the 06+ so you'll probably have a step down in width from the quarter panel to the bumper. No idea how much of a difference or how noticeable it would be though.

Def post it up if you follow through on this.

OK, thanks...I'm going to call some salvage yards and begin my research and testing....lol. I'll keep this updated.

I would guess "no". But you could check some parts diagrams for differences or even just park next to one and eyeball em side by side.

I made mine work - designed that way from the factory for import into Euro. I taped into the hitch for power, used a simple GM socket from Pep Boys.
