Red/white LEDS too bright, any ideas?

As much as I don’t want to start a new interior LED panel thread, I’m finding the new lights to be obnoxiously bright. Does anyone have any ideas on how to tone them down?

If you bought them from ArcLight I'd contact them. The black modules are constant current sources set at 350 mA so if you simply desoldered some of the chip LEDs then the remaining LEDs may be driven too hard.

Maybe use some black mesh cloth or something similar and put a piece between the lens and the LEDs?

Spray them with VHT Nite Shades spray paint.
