Reese 2" drop OK?

Question for the tow experts. I'm going to be pulling a very small popup, the GVW is on 1500 lbs. From my forum search, it looks like a Reese ball adapter with a 2" drop will work just fine. Anybody care to chime in? The recommended trailer height is 18". I should say my Trail is stock height in the rear.

The trailer tongue should be level, whatever drop it takes to accomplish that, with about 10% of the trailer weight as tongue weight.
