I don't know how pricey they are, but gear set-up is something u definitely do not want to cheap out on. Remember quality isn't expensive, its priceless!:usa2:

East Coast Gear Supply is a hard deal to beat. Just swapped the gears on my rig. You'll have to do little wrenching, but the pricing is straight forward and the quality and workmanship is renowned.

I was looking at this site, but I'm not sure what I need for my Runner, they don't have the years or what not for me to look at, I got a quote from the SDgear and axle and they said they would do it for 1500-1700 depending on parts. Is that a good price?

Give them a call, I'm sure they more than likely have what you need. Even if they don't you can ship them your diffs (if you can afford the down time). My cost was $2800, but that also included them adding and ARB Locker in the front and a Detroit TrueTrac for the rear, plus all new associated hardware. Subtract that, I would've been around the $1500 mark for assembled 3rds.

You will for sure save money if you can do either of the two things.
1. Buy a complete third from somebody like ECGS as stated above and do the swap yousrself. Not very difficult depending on your mechanical ability.
2. Pull the 3rds and bring them somewhere local like Progear or SD Gear and Axle. This will save some shipping, although ECGS has free shipping, you just need to pay the shipping to send your cores back which isn't very much.

Works great! Totally seemless but always there working. Plus with the added benefit of VSC, the TT pretty much locks up. With the truck on the road 95% of the time I thought this was a much better value for an eveyday traction aid. Power brake it, and it'll light both of them up in the rear (I haven't done a burn out, just got them to chirp and verify the tread on the ground).
