relearn TPMS for 4 tires?

Hi,

I am wondering if it's possible to relearn TPMS for only 4 tires. I have dual exhaust and have no spare. I thought I read something on this a while ago. But can't find it.

The system looks for 5 tire sensors. You can put the 5th in a home made air canister and charge it up to the correct psi, keep it somewhere in the car.

Or bypass the system entirely. There's a how-to on here somewhere.

Yes, you can delete the registration number of the 5th tire in Techstream. If you only have four TPMS sensors registered the computer will not look for the spare. Techstream is found at dealers. There is also a cheap pirate version on Amazon. Not sure I'd trust connecting pirated software to my 4runner ECU but its out there.

Maybe a tire shop can delete the 5th sensor in the software? Point is yes, it can be done easily by deleting the registration code from the trucks computer.

No you cannot.

I tries using Techstream. It only has a 5 tire configuration
