I don't know anything about that remote. But I can state that I have some how managed to to hit the lock, unlock, and panic buttons by accident, on different occasions, with the keys in my pocket. Should point out that my key ring also has a Toyota Sienna key and a small Victorinox knife on it. Should also point out I am about 35 pounds over weight.

Point is, you might be starting your vehicle by accident.

I think Viper, or one of its allied companies, has something like that.

From the research I have done, the Fortin Evo-all can accomplish this.
I plan to chase some wiring this weekend to verify the 2015 has the same wiring as the 2014 under the dash.
If it does, then it should be able to remote start with the factory fob by pressing the lock button 3 times. It will however shut off when the door is opened.

You do know that's how the factory remote start comes right? And I don't think there's any way you could accidentally set it off because you have to push the lock button three times and hold it for 3 seconds.

OP:

I live and breathe 12 volt everyday. Today i did 4 cars, 1 2015 mercedes GLK remote start, 1 1997 Chevy pickup alarm system, 1 2002 dodge ram 1500 alarm remote starter with drone mobile and just delivered a 2009 nissan versa remote starter. Point is, "I" installed it and provided the hardware. If there are any problems with any of the 4 systems in did today and the countless ones i did in the past. all the customer has to do is call me and say steve, im having a problem. can you help me? when can i bring it in? thats it, im customer service, sales and support all in one.

EBAY? you SOL with no paddle heading towards a water fall!

If a customer brought that in to me, all i can do is stand behind the install. NOT the equipment, if it turns out to be a hardware related issue, the customer will get charged diagnose time @ $65 per hour.

If its a system i installed, i can do lots of things from take from existing stock for warranty to upgrades.

I dont care what system you get nor should anyone else care BUT i would strongly advise you to purchase the hardware and installation from the same place. This will eliminate the blame game. The hardest thing you are going to do is finding a decent shop to do it. Then finding the right hardware you want.

No need to chase the wires. I did a 2015 the other day its the same.

EVO-All says it will do take over.

Great! Thank you very much.
I won't have to read wiring diagrams all morning.

The Fortin Evo All works with your Toyota keyfob, though my installer couldn't figure out how to set it up properly.

did they do the update for the vehicle via the Flash manager and turn on the option for remote start?
then follow the instructions for the order in which to plug in the connections etc...

Is there a remote start you recommend?

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess he will say Compustar.

That is who I recommend as well.

What features do you need/want?

Do you know if the Compustar works with the 2015? Installer said he would have to look at the build date of my TRD to determine if he has anything that would work for it. These are few that they sell. I just want to be able to start the car and know that it has been started even if I can't see it. They said something about a two way or doing the mobile, but I really dont think the added cost of a yearly subscription is worth the 2 times I might actually use the phone to start the car because I couldnt see it.

CS800-S REMOTE STARTER W/ KEYLESS ENTRY 1000FT RANGE INCLUDING INSTALLATION AND BYPASS $299.95

RF-2W1B-SP-(2-WAY SLICE JR) COMPUSTAR ONE BUTON REMOTE START 2-WAY WITH INSTALLATION AND BYPASS $329.95

RF-P1WG7-SP COMPUSTAR REMOTE START 1-WAY WITH KEYLESS ENTRY INCLUDING INSTALLATION AND BYPASS $339.95

RF-P1WG8-SS COMPUSTAR REMOTE START 1 WAY W/ KEYLESS ENTRY 1 MILE RANGE INCLUDING INSTALLATION AND BYPASS $379.95

Thought suggestions?

Not sure since it's the wife's truck. I'll guess:
  • Able to start using the factory key (not needing another FOB)
  • Some indication that it is running is nice to have but not necessary
  • These two seem mutually exclusive, but maybe there's some indicator on the Toyota FOB?

Amp, what should one expect to pay installed for the Evo for a 2010 LE?

In my area in the 300.00 - 400.00 range for a basic install. All I used on the evo was the remote start function. Nothing else was needed for this install.
Uses factory fob, push the door lock button 3 times to start or stop the vehicle. It does shut off when the door is opened just as the factory unit does.

If I remember correctly the wiring diagram for the 2010-14 is the same and I can now confirm the 2015 is as well.

I would recommend going with the 1000' range 1-way fobs and add the Drone Mobile. With the ADS Blade-AL bypass my OEM fobs still work and can control the Compustar as well. I have the DM so I can get alerts/notifications anywhere I am. It's also nice to able to double check if I locked the 4runner when we go shopping. Starting the vehicle after graveyard shift is nice as well because I no longer need to leave the control board and go for a walk to (1 be in range and (2 see if it started. I honestly use the Drone more than I thought I would. All of this should work on the 2015s as well.

I bought the premium subscription so I can try all of the features (I'm kind of a tech junky) but the basic plan will get you what you need. Here's a screen shot from this morning:

Say what? When I bought my 2013 4Runner TE, only a $1700 package consisting of some Viper SmartStart and rustproofing was offered. I said no, but how about just a remote start, and he said that's not what he was offering today, and that was the end of that. Didn't counter offer or anything. Kind of weird. Like when I offered so much for an F-150 over invoice at a dealer in Champaign, IL, and they guy said no. Then I started walking out the building. All my friends said he will say "come back, come back, we can make deal". He didn't. I ended up getting an short bed F-150 at the dealership my father worked at.
